West Bridgford Grade 4 Veterans Tournament

7th-10th January 2010

The West Bridgford Grade 4 Veterans Tournament was held on the indoor tennis courts at West Bridgford Tennis Club on 7th - 10th January 2010. With entries as far apart as Aberdeen and Portsmouth, including a number of international players, the local Nottinghamshire players performed very strongly. Peter Whitehead came back from losing positions in his semi finals and finals to retain the over 50 men's singles title and Ann Brown featured prominently in the ladies over 50 events, to win both the singles and doubles titles, despite an injury to her back.

The West Bridgford tournament has become an important part of the National Veterans Calendar and is an ideal warm up tournament for the Indoor Championships at Dudley the following week.
