Coaching Programme

[See also our general information leaflet "Aiming High" on junior coaching at WBTC.]

The club's coaching programme is one of the most comprehensive in the country, catering for players of all ages and abilities.
In particular our club is proud that both the Mini Tennis Programme and the Performance Programme have been awarded accreditation by the Lawn Tennis Association.
Our aim is to maximise every players' potential so, whatever your aspirations, there should be a course suitable for you.
For new players, a short assessment session can be arranged with one of our coaches, free of charge, who will advise you on the appropriate coaching course for your standard. The coaches monitor all players throughout the coaching sessions and, at the end of each course, will advise players (or parents of juniors) of their progress and on appropriate follow-up courses.
All our coaching staff are LTA qualified and licensed coaches. A license also implies that a coach has the clearance provided by a Criminal Records Bureau Certificate.
To apply for any of our courses, please complete an application form or register at reception.

  • To date the programme has enabled approximately 200 children and adults to experience the game of tennis
  • Club sessions are held from 7.30pm to 9.00pm on Saturday evenings. This provides additional play for those who want to learn more and is a first step of integration into a club environment.
